Nico Clausen was born 2.06.1911 in FlensburgLieutenant/to its death to the commander
                     carried in 1.05.1943.Clausen  was commandant oMinensuchers [mine - seeker] "M 134"by the mine- look flotilla.September 1939 - november 1939.After this went he as WO
               on U-37 till to the July 1940.He visited thereafter the Kmdt-
                  course by the 24.U-flotilla till to the August 1940.It
                           ensues the Submarine-building - directions on U-142 from August 1940-
                         September 1940,there after became he commandant from U-142.
                          As commandant from U-129 received he the Ritterkreuz [knight - cross].Nico
                     Clausen sank with his boat U-182 in 16.05.1943 in the
                      Mittelatlantik , west madeira in convoy UGS.8.The boat
                        became through depth charge of US-destroyer MACKENZIE
                       countersunk,deadloss.

On his boat was the name "WESTWARD-HO"* positioned
